Good Comrades,
It's pretty much well established by now that Col is very, very, very inactive. But we are most definately dead. I know for a fact that myself and Xenofontov check the forum at least twice a week, we just haven't got anything to work on and so don't post.
I know make an official plea from the Presidential Offices for all people that still check this forum to post as much as you can be bothered to! From starting a new project within Col to posting in the One-Word Story, all would be appreciated. Do not let Col fall apart from the inside. I know for a fact that we are on the MCS Hit List for Ridiculously Inactive Nations. Pull Col out of the ditch and post!
Yours,
The Acting President

I'm still floating around Comrades. If at the very least, I can post what I think of your Socialist works around Col. But I have to say that often-times there is very little need. Socialism is followed here very well and it reminds me greatly of the days of Kampong. -St. Fenix

Good to hear. Your words are comforting, Fenix. Elections are just absurd right now - two active citizens (plus one active foreign dignitary, of course ). However, I am still working out how we will do them when the time comes, like how often, what website etc. (probably www.demochoice.org or whatever that link Radim posted was). We have to use this brief period of inactivity to work out such matters.

Ah, inactivity is becoming the downfall of various nations, I beleive that Kampong lost the "war" against in-activity.

As Comrade Vladimir says, We do indeed have a good spot at the moment to work out such matters as how to conduct an election, as well as begin to draw a floorplan for where col needs to develop. Don't forget comrades at any point that Socialism does entail the control of an economy, and depending upon the wishes of the people here, it may not be a bad thing to develop once activity begins to arrive and recruitment efforts begin to pay off. But to ensure that such Recruitment efforts are long lasting investments rather then short terms bursts of work, we need to have something here for our newer Comrades to do. And having everything set out for them once they get here (Like a prepared tray of paints for an artist) they will have everything needed to work. Culture is a big thing that can work here in Col, especially since at the moment Col seems to be just the general bland Socialist state. I believe that working upon a plan to create a basic culture to distinguish Col from other nations would be a good short-term work that would provide easily attainable goals from the populace, as well as make the MCS map of Col a little more pleasing to the eye. The begginings of this could easily be the following: 1. Get a language for Col, Be it Col, Russian, Zulu. (It doesn't have to be practiced, but it would be an interesting side-note for future reference, or future work. ) 2. Get a culture for Col, Are you imperialistic? (Soviet Style?) Neutral? And what does your land entail? Is it cold? does this reflect in the Culture of those living in Col? 3. Consider creating and developing more cities so that you may begin to distinguish different parts of Col, as well as get different things to speak of, as well as locate headquarters and such to. 4. Consider the creation of Counties, States or whatever you wish to call subdivisions in your state. 5. Make Col something unique. Of course any such plan would not have to entail all of these, or maybe even any of these. Just as long as some reachable goals for work are created. Recruiting all this time should also be practiced, and also discussed, especially as few places are available to recruit nowadays. -St. Fenix

Thank you. I shall bear these in mind.
It might interest you to know that we have already laid out our provinces etc. on Micras - find them under the Commissariat of Information and then the Mapping Area. I shall PM you the password!

that is interesting to note actually. Thanks for the trust in handing over the password, I shall not break it. But on the status of goals, That it probably my main point. Getting some early goals going for the state itself will propel work forward at a strong pace, and will allow everything to be laid out when recruitment begins to pay off, and aye this may even aid in that process itself. -St. Fenix

When Col calls, her children answer. This is a wonderful display of loyalty, comrades! Our activity has soared! Well done!
Of course, there's no such thing as too much activity, and the plea in the original post remains as is: but we have gone from dead (one of our citizens requested we disband!) to this relatively high level of activity. Wonderful!
